Jets, Eagles Complete Lito Trade

It took nearly a year, but the Eagles have finally traded disgruntled cornerback Lito Sheppard. Philadelphia has agreed to trade Sheppard to the Jets in exchange for a fifth-round pick in April's NFL Draft and a conditional pick in 2010. The selection in 2010 could be as high as a second-rounder, or as low as a fourth-rounder.

The Loins have traded quarterback Jon Kitna to the Cowboys, who will use the veteran as insurance for starter Tony Romo. Detroit addressed a need with the trade, landing cornerback Anthony Henry from Dallas.

Cassel Traded To Chiefs

The Patriots have agreed to trade quarterback Matt Cassel to the Chiefs. Cassel will join former New England linebacker Mike Vrabel in Kansas City, along with general manager Scott Pioli, who joined the Chiefs in January after spending almost a decade with the Patriots. Cassel is actually part of the Vrabel trade that was agreed upon Friday. New England has received Kansas City's second round pick in the deal. New England designated Cassel as their franchise player earlier this month, which guaranteed him $14.65 million next season. Winslow Traded To Bucs For Picks

The Browns have traded tight end Kellen Winslow to the Buccaneers in exchange for undisclosed draft picks. "The Cleveland Browns thank Kellen for his contributions to this organization over the past five years," new general manager George Kokinis said in a statement. "We appreciate his passion for the game and wish him success in Tampa Bay. "The draft picks we have obtained through this deal will give us greater flexibility as we look to infuse more talent and create competition and depth on this football team."
